22 Jun Enrol for NQF4 before new requirements effective 1st July 2024
If you are an intern estate agent/property practitioner, you may be aware of the changes currently taking place to the educational requirements to qualify as a full status non-principal property practitioner.
You may also be quite confused by what you have read.
Let us try and simplify this for you:
If you are currently a candidate/intern PP holding an intern FFC, where does this leave you if you have not completed the NQF4 (or equivalent), logbook or PDE4 by 30 June 2024?
- If you have not done the NQF4 qualification – you must enrol and register with an accredited skills provider by 30 June 2024; alternatively, you will be required to do the new Occupational Certificate (OC).
- If you have done the NQF4, but not your logbook – as long as you have been issued with a FFC by 30 June 2024, you must complete twelve months of internship and your logbook. You will however not be required to submit your logbook to the PPRA, but a letter which is countersigned by your principal that you have completed your internship and logbook. This letter must then be submitted to the PPRA. You must keep your logbook available for inspection by the PPRA in the event that the PPRA conducts an audit.
- If you have completed your NQF4 and logbook – you must then write the PDE4.
- Failure to comply with the points indicated above, will result in the PPRA not issuing your FFC when it falls due for renewal.
