Property Courses
Commercial Industrial Brokerage (CIB)
The course is designed for property professionals who want to know more about commercial property sales and letting. These are agents, principals, brokers, managers, investors and developers looking for a commercial or industrial edge.
Commercial Property Practice (CPP)
The course is designed for property investors, estate agents, principals and commercial brokers. Providing delegates with a detailed knowledge of financial mathematics, principles of town planning, aswell as the general principles of taxation and the various ownership structures that may be utilised when investing in property.
FET Certificate: Real Estate (NQF4)
This is a basic qualification requirement for a career in residential and commercial property. The course is designed for delegates aiming to become a professional real estate practitioner.
Homeowners Association Management (HOAM)
The course is designed for managing agents, estate agents, portfolio managers, administrators, HOA estate managers, developers, HOA scheme executives and trustees and investors who wish to know more about Homeowners Association Management.
Laws of Leasing and Letting (LLL)
The purpose of this course is to provide delegates with a detailed knowledge of how to effectively lease and let properties within the parameters of the law. The course introduces the fundamental principles related to leasing legislation and discusses industry practices and problems.
Professional Property Development (PPD)
The purpose of this course is to provide delegates with knowledge of financial mathematics as well as principles of town planning used to plan new developments. Delegates will learn about the general principles of taxation and various ownership structures.
Property and Facilities Management (PFM)
The purpose of this course is to provide delegates with a detailed knowledge of how to manage different types of properties effectively and professionally, and ensure increased financial return. The course is designed for Building Managers, Commercial and Retail Property owners, Managers and Brokers.
Sectional Title Management (STM)
The purpose of this course is to provide delegates with detailed knowledge of the sectional title property industry. The course is designed for managing agents, estate agents, portfolio managers, administrators, developers, trustees and investors who wish to know more about Sectional Title Management.

The CPMD homepage also lists logbook training, an RPL certificate and PDE exam preparation.
The FET Certificate: Real Estate (NQF4). CPMD describes it as a basic qualification requirement for a career in residential and commercial property, and it is a prerequisite for admission to the PPRA professional examination for estate agents.
Commercial and Industrial Brokerage (CIB) covers commercial and industrial property sales and letting. Commercial Property Practice (CPP) covers financial mathematics, town planning, taxation and ownership structures for property investors, estate agents, principals and commercial brokers.
Sectional Title Management (STM) covers sectional title and group housing scheme law. Homeowners Association Management (HOAM) covers how homeowners associations are constituted and managed. Laws of Leasing and Letting (LLL) covers leasing legislation, lease agreements, the Rental Housing Act and the Rental Housing Tribunal.
Property and Facilities Management (PFM) covers managing different property types, including maintenance, security, occupational health and safety and tenant issues. Professional Property Development (PPD) covers financial mathematics, town planning, taxation and the fundamentals of property development.
CIB runs for 4 days (2 + 2) over 2 months. CPP runs for 6 days, non-consecutive. The FET Certificate: Real Estate (NQF4) is the equivalent of 14 days, non-consecutive. HOAM is the equivalent of 2 days. LLL runs for 3 days, consecutive. PPD runs for 11 days, non-consecutive, over 4 months. PFM runs for 9 days, non-consecutive. STM runs for 6 days (3 + 3) over 2 months.
Each of the eight courses is offered online combined with webinars. CIB, CPP, HOAM, LLL, PPD, PFM and STM are assessed by assignment and examination. The FET Certificate: Real Estate (NQF4) is assessed through four portfolios of evidence and three final summative assessments.
Course fees include VAT and cover all study materials and assessments: CIB R8 280, CPP R6 350, HOAM R1 850, LLL R2 990, PPD R10 165 and STM R8 025. The FET Certificate: Real Estate (NQF4) costs R8 800 for learners with Matric Maths Literacy or Pure Maths and R10 280 for learners without Matric Maths.
